I have a question for all the serious archery guys on here. I have been shooting some off-brand carbon arrows, and have been pleased with them over the past couple of years, but it has come time to replace some of the ones that I have either lost while shoting, misplaced, or have seen better days. I have been looking at Bemans, and some more off brands. Whatever I get, I will buy raw shafts, and have my buddy fletch and put inserts in them. Whichever way I go, I am going to use an eze-crest of some kind on them, with 2 white and 1 red fletching, (For seeing them easier), and with white nocks.

My question is, what are your opinions of Beman, and let me know if there is a another brand that you recomend. I am prepared to pay what I have to pay for the quality, but I don't know that much about all the arrows that are out there, so any help that you guys can give me is appricated.

Thanks again,

Bo

Bo,
Bemans are ok shfts, but you might want to check out some of Eastons shafts. Thay have alot mor to choose from. If you really want a good quality shaft that won't break real easy at all, check out A/C/C's. They have an aluminum core and are carbon warapped. These are the shafts I use and I had a caouple bad shots that hit trees and rocks and they did not break. They go for $119.99 for a dozen, but if your a decent shot they will last you for years. I'm taking it you are going to use these for hunting? Well if so, these arrows heat up and get very hot and with that heat energy the penetration on a deer is very very good.

I hope this helps you out.

If you go with the Beman carbons, I suggest you go with the ICS Hunters. Aluminum core A/C/C's or matrix are alot heavier and THEY DO BEND !!! Go with either the Easton carbons or the Beman carbons that are the higher priced ones because they are straighter. Ventures are ok for just shooting but arent as straight as the ICS HUNTERS. They are the ICS HUNTER shafts that didn't make the straightness tolerance. Don't buy into which ones are best because they are made by the same company.....EASTON.

I've been shooting BemanICS340Hunter shafts for 3 years, I'm not changing.

Well I will be the real odd=ball here....I switched to Easton Carbon Excel arrow a couple of years ago...yeah they are not the most expensive...but they sure do a great job! I have a couple of arrows that each oone has taken numerous deer and hogs and still shoot ok.

I used them in competion and they performe dgood also.

Inexpensive and shoots great.....just me but that is a good combination!

Thanks guys, I'm still checking on all the options that you told me about and I guess I will decide on something in the next month or so, it will soon be time for me to lay down my rod and reels and pick up my bow!

Again, thanks for the information

Im with WildTurkey. I have been shooting Gold Tips for about 3 years and I have been very pleased. I used the same arrow to kill 3 deer, until the third decided to snap it in half when he went down!

Beman ICS 400's for me do the trick. No complaints whatsoever. 8)

You might check out http://www.carbon-tech.com/ I saw a report once that talked about consistant arrow spine being the greatest factor with carbon arrows and these do a really nice job of that. I have used them for a couple of years now and am really impressed. Last year I had complete pass-throughs on deer, elk, and black bear.
