My opener is less than a week away and I'm ready to be finally shooting some ducks again. deer and turkeys held me over for a little while but I cant wait anymore. How bout you guys is your season already in or are you getting ready?

I let it sneak up on me alittle, I still have about 2.5 dozen goose silos to paint, and I have to get the boat blind fixed up alittle, but it shouldn't take to long, and I will have it ready for thanksgiving.

I'm ready!!! Normally I don't get as excited about ducks as I do deer hunting, but this season has been a pretty bad year for me. I still need to rebuild our duck blind this weekend. We have a big cut corn field in front of our house and it had about 100 geese in it yesterday. Two of them were snow geese which is pretty rare for these parts. I haven't seen a snow goose in probably 5 years, so maybe thats a good sign.

Our season is in full swing with plenty of birds already! The week after Thanksgiving is when I will start really hitting it hard but so far just hunting the weekends has been pretty dang good!

I saw a couple of snows in with a group of Canadians in SC the other day while I was deer hunting.
