Carry a kershaw spring assisted opening, for work and everyday.
Hunting, I trade off between a buck 110 that my dad gave me, and a custom made knife that i designed. The handle is made out of antler from a buck my dad shot and has a surgical steel blade.
Skinning, I use another custom made knife that I designed that has an antler handle and damascus steel blade.

I have several that I carry...For the past 20 years or so it was a Buck with a 2 1/2 drop point blade...In the past year I have bought a few knives...So some days I carry an Old Timer Muskrat or an Old Timer Stockman, I found these two knives a few months back in an old county store...They are the older Made in the USA models...
For skinning deer, if I don't use the above I use a Bear Sharp Finger or a Buck Duke which is a 3 inch drop point...Frankly, I've skinned as many with that little 2 1/2 inch Buck that I always had with me as any...I skinned 4-5 deer with those new Old Timers and they worked as good as any I've ever used...

In my pocket, I have a small Buck knife, more to keep my mind occupied when hiking.
In my pack, I have a fixed blade Buck knife and the Piranta-Z disposable blade knife. I've went through quite a few animals this season and for me, my set-up is ideal for total weight and being able to get the job done when high up on the mountain.

I use a cheapo yet solid 5 inch fixed blade. Its on my hip everywhere I go while hunting. Only cost me 20 bucks but gets the job done. I just need to sharpen it from time to time.
