Not a bad buck for his first. Little 4-point...a wopping 13 1/2 inches wide lol. I guessed him at 13 6/8 just to be cocky and almost nailed it lol. After that we saw a big mulie that was about 25 wide...deep forks and a big 'ol neck. That's just how it goes lol. but o well, you know a guy's happy when i point out the buck and he says, "you know what i don't even care, i'm so happy right now."

We snuck up to about 125 yards of him and he used my shoulder as a rest...ha haha worked out perfect. He shot and saw him mule kick and i jumped up and high fived him. We then ran up to the top of the hill and proceeded to watch him to the texas tornado in the bottom before piling up feet in the air. Was quite a moment. He's my hunting prodigy so i almost felt like a proud father.

Also got a couple of sharp-tailed grouse. First one of those i ever shot. Got a bird, wasn't the turkey i was looking for but hey it was a fun weekend. Here's some pics.

Also had 3 whitetail fawns about 2 feet from me just eating and playing away. Was pretty cool.
