I have to be honest that sounds like it was to far away for her and she should have stopped shooting after 3 shots. I just think the chance of wounding an animal is to high if you are shooting that much. Maybe it wasn't to far and was nerves but I still don't like the sound of that much lead being thrown around unless your in combat.
Hey Hilljack. I respect your input, but the bull was only 300 yards across from us. Everyshot, besides 2, where right over his back, by inches. The bull just stood there he never ran. He didnt know where the shots where coming from because of the echo in the box canyon we where in. A couple of times, he did flinch like he was hit, but he never was. It wasnt like she was playing John Wayne and throwing lead out there as fast as she could. Before the season, she was exploding milk jugs at over 400 yards. She had a case of Buck Fever and pulled up just about every shot. I hiked up there after the bull walked into the cedars and searched for almost 2 hours to see if I could find any sign of him being hit... nodda.
Tell me this, if you shot at a 300" bull 3 times, and he just stood there, are you telling me that you wouldnt reload and try again? And if you missed 3 times again, and he still just stood there, that you wouldnt reload and try a 3rd time, 4th time, etc.?
Thanks Trent!
