I have been reading alot about the lead free bullets being made for high powered rifles.
Especially the Barnes Triple Shock and Hornadys GMX bullets. I had the oppurtunity to try the GMX in my .30-06 a couple of weeks ago on two deer and so far am pleased with their performance. I posted the results from my experiences a few weeks ago

Has anyone else used these type bullets and what do you think of them?

And my biggest question is: what is everyones opinion on the idea of banning lead in bullets for hunting such as parts of California have done???

i've used some of the v-max which i believe is an all alloy. lead free. they have been very good to me, from big eastern ground hogs to coyotes. as far as my opinion on banning lead. while i hate to see any more regulations on ammo, or hunting. or any thing else that raises the price of ammo. if lead is making that much of an environmental impact, then i don't mind the extra hassle, for the future health of our game animals and sport.
