My 50 cal. Encore shoots the best with 100gr. of the Blackhorn 209 powder and Hornady Great Plains conicals in the 385gr. since we can't use sabots for hunting here in Colorado. biggrin.gif

I shoot 100gr. of loose powder in my T/C Pro-hunter .50 cal and 240gr. T/C XTP sabot.
This combo shoots really well for me, if your gun is a .50 cal., you might try this in yours

i use the same combo in a couple of my muzzle loaders. one hole groups at 50 yds with open sights, only 100 grains of powder but i still can pass through both shoulder blades at 100 yds. wife shoots 90 grains with her xtp. you wouldn't think it but there is a noticable difference in recoil with 10 less grains of powder.

I use two Jim Shockey's Gold Pellets, a 295 gr. Powerbelt, and 209 primers...my favorite weapon to take afield! It has an awesome trigger pull. Very very accurate!

I shoot 150 grains of pyrodex pellets with a 250 grain T/C XTP Sabot. I love this gun.I shot a deer last year at 200 yards and hit it perfectly behind the shoulder. Good Luck
