can you use slugs in a 12 gauge double barrel shotgun?

As long as it is not a real old gun you should be fine. I had a American Arms Silver Eagle 20 ga over and under that shot the old Federal slug like a rifle. At 50 yards it would shoot both barrels in 2 to 3 inches.

Yes you can, just make sure that if it is a gun that takes choke tubs you have the right choke in it.

oh man does this question bring back memories. i've got one of the first hammerless doubles from lefever arms in a 12 guage. IC on the left MOD on the right. talk about a deer pushing gun. that ol' slug/buckshot combo filled the deep freeze a couple of times.

My suggestion is be sure it does not have Full Choke Barrels. Modified or Improved will work.
