This is my Bessy with her glasses on. Hopefully I'll get to show a pic of a deer I'll get with her this weekend.

Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 magnum?

Yes. It's a Ruger Supper Black Hawk in .44 Mag. The scope is a Weaver 4x28 Classic Handgun scope. The load I am using is a Winchester case with Winchester primers, a Hornady 240 grain XTP bullet over 24 grains of Hodgdon's H110 powder. My groups got a little wider as I shot more but that was because of the recoil had my hand felling a little numb after the first 25 or so shots. I was so impressed with how well it shot I wound up shooting all my bullets. I had to go back last night and load me another box to hunt with.

sweet setup. i use those hornady xtp 240 grainers out of my muzzle loader for deer. i think i'm a couple of fps faster than your set up. but it'll still knock them on their can.

those are some pretty good groups for a handgun...i cant wait to get one and shoot a deer with it

I have had the gun for a while. I use to have a Red Hawk Hunter model that I had a Nikon 2x20 scope on. Man I probably killed a truck load of deer with that gun. I have killed one with the Black Hawk before I put the scope on it. It will be my primary weapon now. I have at least one of my kids with me at all times and it is a pain trying to get in and out the woods with 2 long guns. It should make my life in the woods a little easier. With the shoulder harness I wont have to worry about dropping my gun and will have both hands free to help my little ones.

What caliber is your gun? That is a nice set up.
