Help!!! I am having trouble getting my broadheads to group. I am shooting a Muzzy Mx4 which I am finding are not consistent. My Field tips are dead on, but when I switch to the MX4's they scatter!
Any suggestions as to possibly other broadheads which fly similar to field tips. If at all possible I want to stay away from mechanicals.
Thanks.

I am shooting G5's this year. My strikers are grouping at about 3" at forty yards and about 5" at fifty. I love these broadheads.

Spin test your arrows if there is a wobble try appllying pressure to the shaft while inserting your broadhead. Make sure your head is aligned properly with the shaft.

The groups are pretty spread out. with field tips at 25 yds I can shoot a group of 3 about the size of a tennis ball. With the mx-4's about the size of a basketball.

G5 ASD (Arrow squaring device)...it fixes a lot of problems...did for me at least! Haven't had a broadhead fly well since I started using it on my arrows!

if you want a new BroadHead i would chose the slick trick with them its just like taking and shooting your field tips you don't notice any difference at all and talk about massive holes and blood trails

I don't know b/c I have never shot them but i've been told that 4 blade heads are hard to tune, but i shoot trophy taker shuttle t-locks and shoot a 2 inch group at forty yards and they fly exactly like my field points.

I had a similar problem with my muzzy MX-4's. And it turned out I had two underlying problems. One was my arrows weren't spined correctly for my set up, and two was that while I was paper tuned I wasn't broadhead tuned. Now I'm afraid of cutting off fletchings out to 50 yards with my BH's and my fieldtips hit in the same place as my BH's.
I took a elk with them this year and it help up really well! I actually can probably just sharpen it a little bit and use it again. I was very pleased.

I read where you want to stay away from mechanicals but I all my friends and I cannot believe how dependable the Rocket Sidewinders are and how deadly accurate for all of us they are. We also feel the same about the Rage 2 and 3 blade. I have killed the last 12 deer I have shot at, all with the Rockets, and at all angles. They always opened and and are extremely accurate. I will never back to fixed blade again. Didn't mean to confuse you but good luck. You can email me any questions on them @speperis@verizon.net
