what is the best gun for turkey huntin a remington 12 gauge or a winchester 12 gauge?
pa_archer
Any shotgun is fine as long as it is patterned and you make a good shot.

I agree with pa archer but Remington 870 is where it's at

im gonna hafta agree with pa archer on this one. but i will too agree on Remington is the way to go. got both 870 and an 11-87 and i would say if your lookin fer a pump gun go with the 870. plenty of different models to suit what your lookin for. If your lookin for a semi auto i would go with the 11-87. once again plenty of models fer what yer lookin for. that and IMO they are prolly the most dependable, rugged and reliable guns out there in my book and in my experiences. Best of luck in your decision and let us know what you decide on!

Like said above any gun will get the job done, but some tend to be like wearing shoes that don't fit they will get you to wear you want to go, but they aren't very comfrotable. I suggest picking them up and feeling of them and find one that you like.

I Like the Remington 870's but the Mossberg's shouldn't be overlooked!

I would choose Remington over Winchester. But would choose Mossberg over Remington.

If you asked me which one of the two I hunt with it is A Remington 12 guage 3 1/2". I also hunt with a Mossberg 835, an older one I bought second hand like new. It is also 3 1/2". I don't think you can miss with either one, especially when i put the Primos Jellyhead choke tube in them. I hunted with Nitro shells this past spring and either gun just shoots awesome, at distances up to 55 yards. At 55 yards we put over 50 pellets in the head and neck with the Nitro shells.

I have a mossberg 935 fly way. I love that gun . I have taken 3 gobblers with it so far and don't know how many geese. The range it has is incredible, you should read up on the x-factor choke system it uses. heck it doesn't even come with a full choke and when I asked where it was I was told" you don't need it" I ordered it anyway, but I have to admit I wasted that money cause he was right,"I didn't need it" I bought mine 2 years ago I think for $585 plus the governer

almost forgot. the 935 I think cycles nice(not a bennelli, but your not paying for one) I always seem to forget to say anything about kick. For a 3 1/2 inch I thought the kick was minimal compared to the others I have shot. I am a lefty so the amadextrous safety is a plus too. They all make good guns there is no doubt about that. I also own a remington and I like it also, just have a special spot for the mossberg.
