so i have not been seeing many deer in the woods i think its due to the corn still being up....so my dad and i went squirrel hunting and limited out each of us got 5 so them little buggers should not be so annoying anymore we might go out again before the corn come off to get some more out....THERE ARE TONS OF THEM

I know its just squirrel hunting and you don't get a big rush like a big buck but it sure is fun to shoot those little guys

I LOVE squirrel hunting but, I hunt 'em with a Beeman .22 cal. air rifle and a Crosman .177 cal. air rifle and, they really put 'em qick if you hit 'em right. The Beeman can get up to 1000 fps with the right pellets and the Crosman can get up to 1250 fps. Hunting with these single-shot air rifles is akin to bowhunting or smoke-pole hunting in that you get that one shot so, you gotta make it count. It helps my patience in bowhunting. I had been so focused on deer hunting that I forgot all about squirrel hunting and, didn't start hunting them til last week.
