The bow i been looking at on ebay is up to 510.00, is that getting up too high fellers?
Im not sure what the switchback sold for, i was kinda thinking i would buy it if it went for 500.00 or less. I still wouldnt care to go up to close to 600.00, thats still considerably less than what i was thinking of paying for a new reezen. I just dont want to pay more than its worth regardless.
Thanks guys,

Dale, I would pass. There is no reason for a used bow to go anywhere near that price! I don't know who is making that bid but you are getting into the new bow price range. You could get many new bows for that price and have a warranty. You can get a new DXT for about $600. It is lighter, better balanced, faster and just as smooth plus you get a lifetime warranty.
There is no reason for that bow to go for that price. Someone is trying to run up the price. I would not put in another bid. Not one dollar more.

Sounds like good advice to me.
I would do the same, and spend it on a new bow.
At least your covered that way if a limb breaks or somethin..

yeah, what cc said. this is the worst time possible to buy a bow off ebay. and add to that the popularity of that switchback, and you will pay if you don't have patience. pass on it. that is, unless it comes extra with some gold bricks or a guided hunt in the canadian rockies.

I agree, if I am spending anywhere near $500, I am getting a new bow. It might not be as cool as a mathews/reezen/switchback or whatever, but it will be new. There are some very good bows in the $500-$600 price range. They might not have the coolest accesories, but they will get you started and you can upgrade later. Here are a couple that have caught my eye.

If you HAVE to have a new bow, wait 'till after hunting season.

In February prices are the best.

The new models are out and everyone wants to clear their inventory and you still get the warranty.

This is very good advice. Before long, rifle season will be in. You can give your shoulder time to heal more and maybe even do some physical therapy to strengthen it. Then you can buy your new bow and have all year to get used to it.
I know how hard it can be to have patience when you want something so bad but the first of the year might find a GREAT buy. JMO. Good luck.

I agree with the guys above. A mathews DXT is a great bow and you can get it for around 600. I dont have a mathews but I have shot the dxt and reezen and it is tempting to get one. good luck with your choice

Thanks fellows for all your help, can you believe that bow went for 594.00, the time was up this morning and i watched it to see what it went for.

As far as my shoulder, its been about 5 years now since i fell at work and messed it up, as some of you already know i been having to hunt with a x-bow and im thankful that i still been able to get out there with it but its just not the same after hunting for over 30 years with a compound.

I just think if i try and use a lighter weight, smoother pulling bow and dont over do it, i might be able to get to where i can shoot one well enough again to use one to hunt with.
I have tossed this around in my head now for months, im sure some of yall are tired of hearing me talk about it and are saying, just get one already. laugh.gif Anyway, thanks guys.

You mean 600 each or 600 for both? Did you get another mathews?
