Anyone know of any spots to try out near grande ronde and when do the bulls start bugeling in september in the coast range

second week of sept i noticed some loose lips around detroit lake. pm me im new in the area also and new in the chat also. got my elk in wash again this year but did some scouting around here we could put our heads together.....

I have always like the 3rd week of archery season for coastal elk in Oregon the best. The last week of season being right behind that. I have never heard the elk get real vocal in my area's in the coast range until then.

I would suggest heading to the Forest Service office just outside of Philomath; if you are ever down around the Corvallis area. When you go through Philomath stay left on Hwy34 like you are heading towards Newport on the coast. The Forest Service office in only like only 3/4 of a mile down the Hwy on your right side. Ask for their NW OR Area Map. The map will list all timber companies and public land on it.
