I got my german short hair pointer when he was 19 months old and he is 7 now and one of the best bird dogs I have ever seen. It is easier to train dogs as pups but it isn't impossible when they are older if you put in the work

Dillion said it best!! Just keep training them and dont give up on them and you'll be fine! Just a little advice, when you first start runnin them run them together, that way they can work together as a team, and learn from one another, then you can start to see which dog is better at what, like our 2 redbone females. One catches on and tracks better, while one has a mouth on her and is a better tree dog. Then if one dog appears to be more aggressive on the tree compared to the other, it may be best when they get to be a little bit older to not run them together, but if they appear to do fine running together then if it works stick with it! Just saying that sometimes certain dogs can be really aggressive on the tree and try and keep other dogs off of their tree.

I would think that at that age there is still alot of puppy left in them and they are plenty trainable as long as you are consistent. Good luck!
