Well guys I said to myself "I would love to be on Team 1 for once instead of high numbers bc my number in every sport was always 1!" Well I guess the big guy wanted to shine some light on me bc here I am! Needless to say I'm very pumped and ready to contribute good Lord willing and the creek don't rise. I will be on as much as possible but I do work 2 jobs. All my free time is spent outside which isn't a bad thing for our team

. My name is Taylor by the way and I will be hunting in the swamps of SC. I got the new Kryptik Pro by Redhead from Bass Pro Shops so I'm ready to smoke something!
I like the banner by the way

My plan this year centers around my boys. I have 2 under the age of 10 that have assured me this is the year! They have both become proficient with the 20 gauge scoped Mossburg. I will still hunt on occasion alone bowseason, and its a blast with the kids in the groundblind. Early season I will focus on white oaks, then the Alfalfa, then after frost- my corn and turnips. Ive inventoried several nice bucks on game cam, and im excited as ever for the kids.

FFdeerhunter72 the signature is great you did a wonderful job, and thanks for putting in the work for us. As for this season I have several spots throughout MO to hunt. some for bow which I plan to do every nite after work and on weekends. I feel pretty good about this season. My family has two pieces here in KC for just me and my buddies and they are in the city so very little pressure, we strted QDM and have seen many doe and young ones and a couple shooters. I saw three last year that I passed up to give another year just hope to see them this year. up north we rifle hunt, lot of pressure but the deer are alot bigger hope to see the big boy though. cant wait to get this thing started.

Hey Guys,
Sorry I'm late. I didn't realize which team I was on. I have an any deer archery tag, an any deer west river rifle tag plus any doe and I put in for muzzle loader and east river any whitetail plus doe tag, so chances are pretty good that I'll get some for us.

Been scouting my main place this year and have seen a ton of doe and little ones. as far s bucks their are a couple small ones and at least three shooters we see reguraly at dusk in the field. Hope to catch em in the same pattern here in about a month. Just wanted to add that I posted a while ago about having minor heart repairs and I had them on tuesday and things are good so Ill be good for the season.

I just got permission from one of the farmers to hunt his place again this year. Its an ok place to hunt but there are few bucks if any around there during the bow season. I got permission from my old neighbor a long time ago and have been out there and have seen lots of tracks and rubs but havent seen any deer due to the corn being up. The creeks are low in most areas and this is about the only place that has water so i am thinking it should be a hotspot. I know there are bucks there cause last year i saw around 5 different bucks. There are a few with some size also. I passed up a shot on a 130+ deer last year only because of to much brush so hopefully he made it through the year so i can get back on him.

Well, I got a tree stand up and a ground blind brushed in on one of my spots. Its about a quarter mile back in a cornfield and slough with a drain ditch running through it. It will be close quarters but I know the deer travel it because it is so thick and there are trails through it. I will post some pictures as soon as my wife shows me how to get them off the phone. I still have two other spots to put blinds. I should get one more done tomorrow.

Checked the game cam but notin but tons of does, fawns and young bucks. I moved it to a spot I been wanting to put one in for sometime this afternoon. Had to put in an old fence post to hang it on but itll be worth it.
The place is an interstate for mature bucks during the rut.

http://s558.photobucket.com/albums/ss29/wy...rent=stand1.jpghttp://s558.photobucket.com/albums/ss29/wy...=southstand.jpgHere are couple of my stand locations I have a tree stand and a ground blind at stand 1 and a ground blind at the south stand. Stand 1 is actually in the trees, but I couldn't get the marker to move.
Tonight I setup a ground blind at the south stand. I found a trail going through the trees from the alfalfa field to corn on the other side. It looks to me like there is a mineral lick where the deer have dug down about six inches or so and I set my blind up by that. Then I cleared the trail with a machete and put some james valley doe lure along the trail. We'll see what happens. On my way out I saw a nice 4x4 about 18" wide and pretty tall.

yeah it's not bad. the public place can get pressured. Ya just gotta know the secret spots that most hunters don't know about or believe that the spots have nothing to yield.
