I purchased the Bear Archery Truth2 bow in a package setup. The bow came with a trophy ridge sight but one of the lower end models. I am wanting to upgrade my bow sight and would like to know the best one to replace it with. I am thinking another trophy ridge but dont know which one!

I have owned three different types of sights (shopped and compaired them all and went on numerous chats) and now have the .010, wrapped Spot Hogg, Hogg It. True second and third axis leveling, gang and independent pin elevation adjustment, a vertical guide wire to aid in bracketing and independent windage adjustment on each pin. All the adjustments are predictable AND repeatable. I also added the adjustable intensity light.
Don’t be tempted to settle for a low cost alternative. You will make up for it in doctor bills (kicking yourself in the !@#$).
I guarantee it!

What are the purposes of your bow? Just hunting? Competetion? How far will you be shooting? How good is your eye sight? All of these and other factors are variables in what will make a good sight for you.

Just hunting, I've been told by other people don't bother with getting a new sight. Just something I was wondering. I know mine will get the job done.

Everybody will tell you what they like best so you really need to find what you see best. I have used a bunch of sights some were good and some were not so good. I will tell you that most sights today are decent for the average weekend archer. However, their are some that are brighter, some easier to adjust and some just flat out more durable.
In my opinion, nothing beats my Spot-Hogg. They are a bit more money than some other sights but by far are the most durable. I have the Spot-Hogg Real Deal with the Wrap, so brightness is not a factor. The adjustments are easy and I have yet to break a pin, fiber, pin etc. either. Remember this is my opinion only. See if you could go look at some at a proshop and check them out in more detail.

I've got a Black Gold radiant, had it for about 4 years now and it's still extremely bright in low light conditions. I bought it at Cabelas, at the time they had all their sights set up under a counter in a low light setting. The Radiant was twice as bright as any other sights there.

Have gone through a lot of sights over the past 25+ years. Lots of good ones out there, but for me, my all time favorite is the Spot-Hogg.

The one you have will serve the purpose fine, but if you really want to change, Black Gold proably has the best sight on the market, very duriable, and it is bright when you need it and not when you don't.
