Well guys our season in Mississippi starts Saturday and i have been watching one for the past week strutting around showing his stuff. Hopefully i can do something with him and get us on the board quick. Good luck to all!

Guess we need to work on a team name. It doesnt really matter to me so you all can decide on that.

I am so excited for this season. Just finished my last blind today. Youth season is April 4th and 5th. I'm from northwest missouri and I can't wait to put the hammer down on a big old tom. What about a name? Doesn't matter to me but everyone is going to know our name at the end of the year when we win. Good luck guys

Hey guys, just checking in. Cand wait to get back out to the turkey woods! My season starts may 7-10. I hunted this time period last year and filled, so i'm pretty optimistic.

My season will be over by the time yours starts! Wow i dont know if i could wait that long!

Hey, just checking in. Sorry it took me so long, I just got back from my first hunt. I got 2 Rio’s In Hawaii so we will be on the board as soon as I get my pictures downloaded and posted. The largest bird had 8” beard with 1 1/8” spurs.

Rio's in Hawaii...that's what I'm talking about! Get those pics up and posted man!

I'll be in FL chasing osceolas in a couple weeks. Hopefully, between FL and IN I can lay a good one out for the team!

WOOT! Im pumped!! My cousin is on this team, and we are hitting the turkey woods hard this year. going to scout a new place this weekend. I start archery on the 28th, and hunt both CO and NE. Been hunting 7 years, and have only been stumped once! So I will try to not disappoint. Good thing with my cousin is I wont have to fret if he gets one before me!

I suggested the Turkey Friars (not fryers) one year... I liked Friars because turkey hunting is somewhat of a religion, and Friars are known to be respected and wise...

BTW, I'm Hunter's cousin that he mentioned... we didn't hunt together last year, but I'm ready to rectify that this year

I'm not from Illinois but might be hunting Calhoun County, Illinois. I don't know if we are making the trip yet though

Good news I was checking my pictures and measurements from my largest bird and the beard is over 9” instead of 8. The spurs are both 1 1/8” long. I have 3 more tags left this year. My next hunt starts April 15th in New Mexico for Miriams. 2 birds down and three to go.
As far as names go I really don’t care, Turkey Friars sounds pretty good to me.

Great job! I never knew there were birds in Hawaii. Man that would be a dream vacation... Get up and hunt them, then spend the day at the beach! SWEET!

Ok, I'd love to do a little smack talk but all I can say about that is ... congrats!! That is sweet!!! Rio's in Hawaii.. awesome. Who were you huntin with? I know a guy from MO that just got back and had success, said there was 11 hunters and 8 birds killed?? Anyway, congrats again, that is truly impressive. And I'm sooooo jealous that you already go to hunt... first team with points, way to go!!

I filled both tags the first day I hunted. I hunted state land and was finished hunting by 1:30 in the afternoon and I took a break between birds to go back to town to get a cooler and ice. There is a checking station for the area I hunted and the day I hunted there were 5 others that checked in and out to hunt. No one else tagged birds that day. The other hunters must have been road hunters because it was the easiest turkey hunt I have ever been on. The day before I hunted (opening day) there were 3 birds taken. There are more birds in Hawaii then I have seen anywhere and no predators but there is also a lot of private land and only a few public areas to hunt. They were my first Rio’s and a lot of fun. We saw tons of jakes, the next few years should be great.

Yep, that's what I've heard... my only hold up is the $$$$ ... all my buddies have some and I don't!!! Congrats again... that is too cool.

I got my bird entered for scoring. I was the first and only entry so we should be in the lead.

My team vote is for Jellified, but I'm up for whatever. Let's narrow it down to 2 or 3, and if you don't care tell us that too! Let's get a name and a sig going!

I don't know how to make the signatures, but I think a cool but simple sig for jellified would be a strutting tom with a bullseye on the head. Then jellified above that and our names around it. I know we haven't decided on a name yet but I just wanted to throw that idea out there

Anybody heading out anytime soon? I can't wait for Florida...or my Indiana season for that matter!

My season is still a few weeks away. Missouri youth is April 4 and 5. I think regular season opens on April 20. I am going crazy! I can't wait!

Archery NE is on the 28th of March, but it looks like ill be on call, so I cant go till the following weekend. our opener is the 11th, and Shooter and I already have it all planned out on where we are going to go.

We went scouting this week and it looks like we found some private area to hunt in Kansas. as well as a good public area in NE. Can not wait!

Going out in the morning to listen and do some scouting. Our season starts March 28th.
