I was just wondering if there was any houndsmen on the board, i'm getting a couple pups this summer and was just lookin for some tips or tricks on traning them, I've had beagles in the past when i was younger so I have a good idea how to go about it but i'm far from an expert

The only tip I have for you is PATIENCE......and lots of it. I have a beagle that just turned 1 year, and she still chews everthing in sight. She has a great nose, but what a pain in the butt she has been! And, if you have young kids, watch the puppy, my beagle is a bit protective and bites my ankles any time the kids get into touble. From what I have seen, they respond much better to a gentle hand than a rough one. Best of luck to you, and I want to see pictures when you get them! Beagles are the cutest pups!
