I got drawn for Upper Sardis turkey hunt. Never been to MS. Just asking for any helpful advice of where to hunt in this WMA and what type of timber is in this region? Is it big hardwoods, pines, or scrub timber.

Hey gambler go to home.mdwfp.com/ then click on wildlife and hunting from there management areas and area maps they have pretty good maps of the areas hope this helps good luck

I got drawn for the 18th thru the 20th for Upper Sardis . Its a lot of hard woods with pines from what I could tell from the one time I've been thru there ( highway 30 area ) . Good luck .

Thanks for the help guys and good luck to you guys this spring too. It's way too early to be getting excited for turkey hunting but it seems I get more anxious earlier and earlier each year.

Too early? Ill be in Northwestern MS in less than a month and I've been ready since christmas! LOL! Good luck down there this spring. I hope to see some pictures of you and your bird on here.
