Hey I am thinking about buying a Model 70 Remington 223 off my brother in law. But I cant figure out how to take the bolt out of the action. Anybody know? Ive tried holding down the trigger and pulling it back but that didnt work.

well, first, we need to know if you are buying a model 70 or a remington? A model 70 is a winchester, a remington is a 700.... both are available in 223....
To get the bolt out look for a little button inside the trigger guard area that will raise up...

Yeah it should be right in front of the trigger it doesn't look like a button but it's there

well it was actually a little button you press down on the side of the gun right above the trigger. the left side to be exact.

That's where they all are on any mdl 70 I got. So have we figured out what kind of gun it is yet? Must be getting the caliber confused with the make of rifle (.243win)
