so how often do you buy a new bow? I bought a new PSE four years ago and I love it and it still shoots awsome. Do you buy a new one every five years or so?

pie-bald express
buying a new bow is all about money. if you have plenty of money you could get a new bow every year. but if your like most people, you stick with what works and that is the bow that you already have. it takes a while to get used to a new bow and to get it tuned in right. if you decide to get a new bow, i would suggest waiting until after season. that way you have all summer to get used to it. i just bought a new one in the spring and im still not really used to it. i shoot almost everyday, but this bow is much different than my last bow that i used for the past 5 years. it just feels different, it will take some time before it feels natural to me. even though i shot the pie-bald this year with the new bow, it still was not as natural feeling as my old bow that i had become so used to. in the long run its not the bow that kills the deer, its the hunter. good luck.

I buy one about every year between my boys and I. I kind of look at collecting bows like people look at collecting guns.I have my first bow I ever shot,I was 13 then ,I am now 39,so I have a few,26 to be exact.Yeah I know thats crazy, but it makes me happy. And hey if you need a bow let me know.

I've had my Hoyt MT Sport for almost 7 years. It shoots great, and I am comfortable with it. Not really ready to give it up yet. I would like the new Hoyt, but it's too much money. unsure.gif I'll stick with what I have for now!!!

I don't think I'll be replacing my bow soon I was wondering if maybe the limbs loose any thing over the years? does anyone back off the limbs at the end of the season?

I got a PSE triton 2 years ago and I still have it, as long as you take of your epuipment you will be fine. It still shoots great. I am thinking about getting the mathews drenalin for the smoothness of the pull back.

I back off the limbs on bows I don't shoot regulary, for the ones I do shoot I leave them cranked up.I have never had the speed fall off of these bows I shoot regulary from year to year.
