I'm using Powerbelt 245 gr. Aerotips with 100 gr. of Triple 7 out of my TC Omega. I've got a friend who says that he doesn't use Powerbelt because they don't get very good penetration and you very rarely get an exit would. I've only shot one doe using the Powerbelts. Has anyone else had this experience?

I use the same and had no problems. I shoot an CVA Optima and had pass thru's @ 100yds. Then I have had shots where all the energy of the bullet pile drived em and never exited. Either way they all had a piece of dirt pie. Take care

I got a thru-and-thru on a 275# buck with my powerbelts...he didnt go 40 yards, two days later I dropped the hammer on a doe at 75 and it didnt go through, but it did bodyslam her right where she was...doesnt matter if it goes all the way through if they dont get outta sight

I shoot .45 caliber 195 grain hollow point Powerbelts with 100 grains of Triple 7 and have gotten passthroughs on every deer.

I use 295 grain powerbelts and love them. I have tried several diff type of ammo and the powerbelt is the most accurate out of my gun. One thing you need to remember is if the bullet does not pass through, that is not a bad thing. The deers body has to absorb all that impact energy and the deer usual does not go very far. If the bullet passes through clean, it will leave a good blood trail but I found the deer travels farther. Either way, the bullet works well for me.
