I am looking to buy a nicer call this season to duck hunt. Does anybody have any ideas? And has anybody tried the Rich and Tone MVP?
adjhunt
Mvp it a great call, but really loud. Lots of guys just use it for competition, but I'm sure some use it for hunting too. Have you went somewhere to blow it yet? That would be the best thing to do to see how you like it.

I hunt with a Daisy Cutter and it is pretty much my go to call.

If you can afford it anything with the RNT stamp is great, Zink makes a great call, really all of them are good. I personally am blowing an aray of calls, qauckheads, primos, D.C..

All you can do is give it a shot bud. If you don't like it put it on E-bay. People can sell week old newspapers there. HaHa!

The MVP is mostly for competition thats why its so loud. but i hear that the RNT microhen is pretty good. right now my go to call is a simple D.C. original, called in a many ducks with it and its only 20 bucks. but my next call will be a RNT you can count on that

You say you use the daisy cutter. Is it raspy and hard to call

Yes I do, and I am no awesome competition caller or anything like that. I am mediocre to below avg at best and I can run it just fine. I like to have a little rasp in my quack. I shot ducks using it this weekend in fact and it handled just fine.
