I currently own a .243 that i use for coyotes and deer. I have been thinking of getting a AR style rifle in 223. other than the cost of ammo, are there any advantages of the .223?

dont realy know about the grouping of the .223. the22-250 is cost efficient and does the job on coyotes. savage has an awsome line of guns and the accu trigger is the best ive seen. try it and if you dont like it ill buy it from you.

the .223 is a good round, but Id rather have a 22-250. Faster, flatter and I think you get a little more range. If you want a semi auto though stick with the .223..

if your using the .243 and like it, dont step down so small as .223. They drop alot, and at a distance, that has to be compensated for.

The .223 is a good caliber to use, however as stated above the .243 will have more range where with the .223 there is alot more bullet drop compensation. I shoot a Remington VLS in .223 and have no problems at 500yds.

the AR-15 is a fun gun to shoot at a running coyote get you a 30 round clip aim with the first shot when he is standing still n aim accordingly by where the dust flies on the next shots lol
