I just wanted to see if anyone uses a Remington 17 fireball for predators. They sound like a cool gun to have!

Did a lot of looking at little guns before I purchased my .204 ruger. The 17 fireball is stretched at about 300 yards and very susceptible to wind drift. Very good article in the October-December 2007 Varmint Hunter Magazine. This author says within its range it is a fun cartridge, and he is hooked.

Ok, I don't want something that drifts. I'll keep looking. Thanks

Of corse you don't make many 300 yard shots a coyotes

The Ballistic coefficient of the 204 makes it less susceptible to drift than most, if not all, of the sub-22 centerfire calibres.

i have actually seen a friend shoot one with a 300 H&H with a 150 grain Barnes TSX. not pretty at all. needless to say the pelt wasnt saved, exit hole was about the size of a softball

I probably won't be keeping them! Don't know of a place to take them.

i have one and it is awesome. it is a lot more powerful than other .17s and of course it is FAST. i was putting holes in my friends metal targets. the targets were for the .22 but still it is powerful
