Just checking on how everyone has been doing so far. We had a pretty slow hunt today but were able to come out with one Canada, two Shovelers, and a Canvasback of all things. Otherwise we have been doing fairly well down here. Hope you are all having fun at it!

Hunting has been decent up here in NW Oregon, but we are just starting to see good numbers of birds! going out 3 times this week, so I'll let y'all know how it goes.
I went out yesterday and we got a couple mallards and a wigeon.

Is Texas one of the only states that still has a season for Canvasback?

Nope, we don't have a "set season" for Cans persay but they are part of Hunter's Choice for the bag limit down here. Which without going into it means we have the choice between shooting 1 mallard hen, 1 pintail (drake or hen), or 1 Can (drake or hen).

Weather is warm here in Northern New York along the St. Lawrence. Ducks are not really flying much. Tons of geese. Three of us went out Saturday and limited out.
