I'm in the market for a new muzzle loader.I've narrowed it down to the CVA Optima, CVA Kodiak Pro, CVA Wolf,Knight Shadow,Knight Rolling Block,T/C Omega, or Traditions Pursuit. I would appreciate any input from anyone with experience with any of these models.Thanks.

I shoot the CVA Optima with a 100 gr. American Pioneer Powder (2 wedges) and Power Belt bullets. I am very happy with the way this combination works. Minimal and easy cleaning and I do not have to clean in between shots and have not had any performance issues. I am considering shooting 150 grains of powder for extra range with the fact that Nebraska just changed their scope law on MZ.

I got a T/C Omega this summer and I love it! It's one of the first synthetic-stocked MLs I've ever held that didn't feel 'cheap'. Anymore, one is about as good as the next when it comes to accuracy. I'd base my decision on the price, fit and finish, and bells and whistles that you want.

go for the cva wolf. it cheap and i wouldn't hesitate a 150 yard shot at any moment as my group was 2 inches. a little advice is clean between EVERY shot (i mean it takes about an extra min to run a few wads through it and gives you superior accuracy, a few extra moments and it could get you shot at a monster) also shoot about a hundred grains or powder. any more than that and i had a crappy group. i use the cheap hornady sabots and they rock!!! there aint no since in spending all that money for a gun you get to use for one week out of the year and dont let the price tag or shorter barrel fool you because ill put it up againsed anything up to about 175 yards.

I also have a CVA wolf and you can't go wrong.I couldn't get any acuracy from the powerbelts so I shoot the the TC shock wave 250 grain with 2 50 grain 777 pellet and shoot 2" groups at 100 yds.I was afraid at first with a lot of people saying sabots need to be cleaned before shots but I was able to shoot 8 or 9 times without cleaning the barrel.Best of luck with what ever you choose.

I did shoot a Knight, but went to the Omega. I like it much more than the Knight. The breech plug is easier to remove. I shoot left handed, the Omega has a hammer which I can ###### with my left hand vs. a right hand safety on the Knight. It shoots great. Its calls for 150 gr of powder, but mine shoots best with 100gr of Shockey Gold powder and a 240 gr 44 cal hollow point Hornday sabot. Hopes this helps.

Thanks for the input. It looks like it's gonna be the CVA Accura. It felt the best to me. Now I gotta decide on whether I want the black/blue model or the camo/ss.
