I am sure I will not be the first to start a story like this, but I have learned everything from my dad. Hunting, fishing handy work. I am truly blessed my dad brought me up the correct way and I hope I can pass the same lessons on to my children that my dad passed on to me. Now my dad and I are from central pa and in the last few years my dad health has gotten really bad. My dad had not killed any animal since 1991 when he killed a great big 5 point with his bow. He had always dreamed of going out west to hunt antelope. A friend of mine got permission to hunt private land near gillette so out west we went. Being able to drive around was great for dad, only walikng short distabnces helped him out. My dad never seeing a goat before we had to keep him off the trigger. Finally we found a good goat with great curls that he really wanted. We got under 200 yards and he fired his winchester 243 and he put the smack down. He did not stop smiling for atleast two days. Savor the chances you get to hunt with whoever taught you and soak it all in beacuse I forgot how truly great it was to hunt with dad. We are already planning a hunt next year. Once I figure out how to post the pictures I will get them own.

Glad for your Dad! It is great to hear that you enjoy your time with him. Enjoy it, you never know when they will be gone. I last hunted with my dad in '98, 10 years, wow. He got a bull with his bow that year and was gone 5 month later.
Glad to hear your story!
