I really like the B-sqaure mounts... I know some people don't.....

any good set of rings and a scope that can take recoil will work....

If you want it for shooting a pattern then don't get more than about a 2.5 power.....

As far as sighting it in, you do it the same as any other scope... the same as a rifle.... shoot, adjust scope so point of impact is the same as point of aim... a vice is very useful for not wasting bullets or trashing your shoulder.... if you need more details just holler back.... i've trained this in the Army for a long time.... as well as to lots of hunters.

Well, I advise people to start with the target very close... like 10 - 20 yards... at that distance you will almost have a single hole as the pattern will still be very tight.

after the shot, without moving anything on the scope yet, get back down and aim at the exact same spot again, which should be the bullseye. Then, as best you can, and a cheap gun clamp or vise works great, but sandbags or a buddies hands work too, move the clicks on the scope to the hole without moving the gun... Done. You should be on.

Then shoot another shot to make sure that it is good, and make any minor adjustments. Then back the target up to 30, 40, 50 yds and check that the pattern is centered....
