Bragging to my nephew how good these tips are and showed him how they exspand and when I push the tips down I noticed how much force was needed and the rubber band did not break away?Whats up with that??Will that take away from penitration??Are these tips faulty??? All three in the pack did the same thing,I have like 7 marks in my deck now from trying to get these bands to break?I put the bands on the cut edge and they popped imediately, but the tip won't rotate with the bands on the cut edges?Tomorrow is the opener and I will not go out bif I think these tips aren't going to work!Seriously,Need answers quick!I still have about two hours before I leave for camp!

No worries, brother,
The broadheads you got are just fine... that is how they are supposed to work....
There is a video clip of Will Primos pushing one into a tree to show how they work and same thing... it took alot of force and the rubber band stayed on...
but, when you are actually shooting the arrow it will be moving at about 250+ fps... the tip will go back almost instantly and the blades will deploy before entering the deer... and the rubber band will get pulled off as it passes through the deer....
If they opened too easy then they would always be sliding open while in the quiver... and they would slide open when you shot the bow due to momentum.... they have to be stiff enough to stay closed until they hit the deer....
As far as loss of KE, not to worry, because the shaft or the arrow and the part of the broadhead behind the sliding tip never actually slow down upon impact... what actually happens is in a split second, when the tip hits something that adds resistance (aka - a deer) then the tip pauses and the arrow and rear of the BH slam forward into it and then keep moving at the same speed since they never slowed down.... no more loss or any faster loss of KE than when using a fixed blade....

There is a big difference between pushing a head into your deck and the KINETIC ENERGY your bow produces.
Please post the pics of your Undertaker kill! Good luck!

Like I said to you before....put Undertaker on arrow...shoot animal...follow blood...recover...take picture...repeat!
Good luck on your hunt.

These heads have been renamed!
A little lawsuit from a shotgun choke maker............
They will be remarketed as the 2009 Meat Seeker and will also come in a 2 blade, 2 inch cut version!

OMG!!! These tips worked great!I was at camp all weekend and could not believe the storm we had Sat.15-30 mile an hour gusts of wind,my treestand was like an amusement park ride,so I got down and went to another stand it was the same ,so I stayed on the ground, moved out to the edge of the fields and saw 5 deer, put a stalk on and with the rain and wind it was awesome, the broadheads did an amazing job,I took the shot on a doe out to 31 yards and the doe ran out to 53 yards and wobbled ,took another step and rolled over dead!Double lunged her!I have never shot a deer with my bow I didn,t have to track under 50 yards!Thank you guys for the recommendation on these tips!!!!!!!AWESOME!!!!!!!!
