Hey everyone,

Im looking at the encore rifles in say a 270 caliber for my wife to shoot!!!!! Hows the accuracy??

I'm going to have our names engraved on the barrel with our wedding date too and give it to her for a wedding gift from me!!!!!

Any opinions on the gun

I have the 50cal encore muzzleloader and it fits her well, she actually put a big buck down with it last year.

Um, the rifles are very accurate, and the .270 is a good choice for a women and doesn't kick much... but....

DO NOT GET YOUR WIFE A RIFLE FOR A WEDDING PRESENT!!!!!

Buy her a rifle some other time, but get her a romantic girly present for the wedding, even if she isn't the "girly" type, all women want to be romanced and treated like a princess on their wedding day.

well I already have her some real pearls to wear on the wedding day and a week honey moon in the mountains and a few other very nice lady gifts, but this rifle was going to be given to her when we get home between me and her, LOL !!!!! not in front of everyone on the wedding day.

In that case, I think it's a great idea.... good rifle choice and great gift idea....

Well thank you, We are getting married at Tara Wildlife in Vicksburg, Ms. Its a hunting Lodge that bowhunting only, I live down the road from it.

Seems to me a rifle makes a great wedding gift. I didn't think of that 30 years ago when I got married. But we did spend our honey moon in my camper at the deer lease. She has never let me live that one down.

Thats funny cause when our honey moon is over we are driving straight back to the deer camp for the opening weekend of bow season. I bought her a mathews ignition bow for one of the other wedding presents and she's is so ready to sling one at a deer LOL, a now i am purchasing a new share of a new camp for us to hunt together

Wings, if she's that kind of a gal, then by all means, go for it. I can promise you that life doesn't get any better than that when you find a gal that likes to shoot, hunt, fish, camp and anything outdoors. My wife and I got married on Sept. 25th and our honeymoon was an elk hunt in the mountains. So every year our anniversary is during elk season doing what we love to do. We buy each other guns and gear for all our birthdays, holidays, and any other reason that we can find. Sure makes my father-in-law jealous thou.
