I've never gone before. My uncle says that we can go over to his house. They just sit in there back yard and doves fly over their house! I know that that is too easy and probably not how most of you guys hunt, but just to get used to shooting them and hunting them. Do they taste good?

I grew up in southern Arizona which has some of the best Dove hunting in the country. That is not a bad way to hunt them. My buddies and I used to set up on the edge of a cotton field with a tree line and shoot them from the tail gate of my truck.

Well I wasn't sure if sitting in the back of their house shooting at the doves that fly by was really a way of hunting doves? I've never hunted them or anything before so I think I might give it a shot.

Dove shooting is dove shooting is dove shooting, don't matter where you do it at, cut corn feild grass feild, etc. Just remeber to be safe and have fun.

I used to dove hunt when I lived in Utah, and it is alot of fun! And yeah, they are really good, especially in a stew with carrots and pototoes. YUMMY!

I went for the first time this year and had a blast. Make sure you take plenty of shells. I cooked them on the grill, wrapped about 1/3 strip of bacon per breas and they were awsom. Gona have to try that stew next time. Sounds good.

Dove season is second to deer season for me.....doves are delicious and it gives your friends and family time to talk in between shooting....5 days till dove season here in Indiana...CANT WAIT...good luck

I LOVE dove hunting, or as we old school dove hunters call it, dove shooting. It doesn't matter where or how you dove hunt, they are a great start for the hunting season, animal to hunt. Yes, bring lots of shells. You will need them. By the way, did I mention that dove season starts on the 1st of September in Kansas? I have a cut silage field that is loaded to the gills with dove. And a new 20ga. over/under that needs a hard work out.

Also, dove hunting is the perfect game animal besides squirrel for starting kids off on. My youngest decided she wants my Ruger Red Lable 28ga. all for herself and is going to give it a try on doves this year. I have bought LOTS and LOTS of shells for that gun. UGH!!!!

I will hunt them for the first time this year.

I love dove hunting but not as much as other hunting. I take off some school for turkey and deer but not for dove. 2 years ago we just happened to be lucky with the tine of the year and went out 4 times and shot our limit of 12 each day.
