I heard they were good rifles so I am thinking about buying one. But I would first like to know how well they shoot!

i have weatherby vanguard, which is the same rifle if the nra tells me right. it is chambered in 300 weatherby magnum. other than a savage 25-.06 i have this is the best shooting rifle i have ever owned. the trigger is very crisp, and, at least on the weatherby, is adjustable. trigger is better than my factory remmy, way better than my factory winchester. the rifle may be a little heavy for some folks taste but i like the steady aim of a heavier rifle ( i also really enjoy not eating the scope). hope this helps.

I have a Howa in 22-250 that is factory, and I'm building two other rifles from Howa actions. From the factory with handloads, with the slightly stagy trigger that Howa sent with it, I can hold under half MOA to 300 yards with the 22-250. Howa seems to have put a new trigger system in on their rifles recently. My first Howa was a two position safety, and moderately adjustable trigger. Now they have a three position safety, and I haven't bothered trying the adjustments, the trigger was pretty crisp already.
My two cents, they're a great rifle. They're made on the same machines that make the Vanguard in Japan, and they're good shooters out of the box.

Both the Howa and Vanguard are made and imported by Legacy Sports. I have a 1500 in .223 and it's a good looking, inexpensive tack driver. I wouldn't turn my nose up at buying one in another caliber, either.
