My string is really worn out where my release goes so I was thinking about getting the string replaced. Its really just the wrapping thats worn out but I may just get a whole new string. The only thing about getting a new string is that I'm afraid that its going to throw everything off. I will have to replace the knocking point, kisser button, and peep sight. Do you think I could just get the string re-wrapped instead of replacing everything?

yeah you can get a string re-served. It shouldn't be a problem at your local bow shop. A good idea is to get a string loop on your string to clip your release to so the wearing doesn't go on the string.

I was thinking about that. Would that throw me off at all?

Get the tool to do your own servings. It's probably under $20.00 and then all you need to do is put one on occasionally. If you measure your nocking point before you reserve the string and put it on the same spot you won't need to retune or resight the bow. I'd keep the same setup until after the season ends then setup with a d-string loop. You may have to move your peep and sights with the d-loop because you'll be hooking up on the string in a different spot so if you are worried wait until after the season to make changes.

It might throw you off a bit. The loop will add a little to your draw, but theoretically you could take that 1/2 inch back out in ur cam. your angle on the string will be a little different point of impact but thats an easy fix. You just adjust your whole sight aperture and you're all good because the trajectory of your arrow's flight hasn't changed. Its only mid july so you would have plenty of time to get used to it. I used to shoot straight off my string but now that i have a loop I'm not looking back. they make a metal d loop but i like the string one because you get no torque if you twist your release, plus they weigh a lot less, so you dont sacrifice nearly as much speed! Hope this helps!

I use and would recommend winners choice the best string on the market also use a loop so that your release does not wear out your string

Or maybe look into H&M Bowstrings, The Guy does em at home and they're alot cheaper than Winner's Choice but as far as I can tell and from all the guys i've talked to they're just as high quality. I'm considering them as my next set.
