INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENTERING AN ELK
- To submit an entry, hunters must include in the 2008-2009 Unofficial Primos Cc Elk Contest - ENTRY thread...
- Your screen name, the number of tines that are longer than four inch (main beam counts) and Photos will be required.

The photos are....

#1- A clear and readable photo of himself/herself with at least the front half of the elk and either a piece of paper with the date on it or the photo must be date stamped. This picture has to be OF THE ELK with the head attached to the body, pictures of only the skull plate and/or cape will not be accepted.

#2- If the first photo does not show all points, then we need a photo that shows the points that can not be seen. If four inch tine length is questionable please supply a photo with a measurement against the tine for verification.

#3- A photo of a clear and readable legal tag is a MUST, no elk will be entered without a picture of the tag. The tag picture can be on or off the elk, but must be filled out completely either way.

- FOR PARTICIPANTS IN STATES THAT DO NOT HAVE A TAGGING SYSTEM follow these instructions. Write the following information down on a piece of paper, your forum name, date elk was taken, state elk was taken in, print and sign your name - scan or take a picture of that information and supply it instead of the tag picture.

** If you have issues with scanning or posting your photos we would be happy to help you out or post them for you, just send one of us a PM.

I don't know if you'll take this or not, as it doesn't meet rule #1. We didn't have a camera with a flash and it was at last shooting light when I shot her. I do have a picture from the next day that is stamped along with a picture of the tag and the genitals still attached to the meat. She was a big cow and I couldn't pass her up.

Sorry jspencer but this entry will not be counted. We need to have a clear picture with you and the elk. These three pictures are only of a butchered elk with a tag in the middle. If you can produce a clear picture with you, the elk and your tag all in the same picture then we can work with you. Sorry this cant be counted as is, but congrats on filling your tag.

We de-boned it on the spot and packed it out that night, so there was no way to get a picture with the camera that we had (which was my fault for not bringing my own). It's only 5 points so hopefully it won't hurt the team.

Congrats! The payoff will be enjoying tender elk steaks all winter long! An elk in the freezer is better than two in the bush!

This entry will be counted. The team will get 16 points awarded due to a majority vote. The ruling is as follows, we can see the elk, hunter, paper (why else would you take a pic with a piece of paper in your hands for a keep sake) and a close up pic of the tag which clearly shows the date and year the hunt was taken place. Good job on a fine bull...

We going to be in first!

Happy to say I shot a big cow yesterday. Unfortunately for my team members I didn't bring my camera. All I have to photograph are hanging quarters and a bloody tag. I already turned the head into ODFW for CWD testing.

jeremyb, first off I would like to say congrats on the fine bull. Second do you have a picture of the tag and a picture of the required paper with the date on it? If you only have a tag picture that will work as long as it can be read clearly and its on the bull. Otherwise I need to have a pic with you, the bull and the paper with the date on it.

All I see when I open your link is the bull and you, there isnt a picture of a tag anywhere.
