I vote for pink mist because I see a lot of it after shooting squirrels. By the way I am adding 55 points from this afternoon. Tomorrow I will be out for about 5 hours after yotes.

I have to repost the squirrels tonight along with all the stuff from today. I got a coyote, 8 squirrels (not sure) and 3 jackrabbits. My camera died so I didn't get pics of the second coyote and a buddy took pics of the last couple squirrels. I think there where six.

So I posted a bunch more today and I am sitting at about 185 with a team score of 190. Nice way to start with a big lead.

Yeah I have spent way to much on ammo but I am getting into reloading so that should cut the cost and now that I have a good .22 I have really cut cost.

Going out of town for 2 weeks so I won't be adding anything unless it happens tomorrow. All the ground squirrel babies are out so this should give them a chance to grow. I could not figure out why I was missing them yesterday until I finally got one and went over to get it. The little guy was 3 inches long. It was like shooting a mouse at 60 yards. Did good yesterday but I let my buddy take the photos and he didn't press the button all the way so I only got 20 points. Had a good time though.

What kind of .22 you shooting??

Shooting an old savage Model 34 works great. Looks like fishman has been out again going to have to watch that one.

So I leave tomorrow for a week and a half for work. When I get back I will be in the woods every day doing wildlife surveys so I will be looking out for bears which will be open. Hope I see one and can find it again after work. Wish it was the old days when you could carry a rifle while working.

That would be nice, wish I could carry a riffle at work too.!!

Yeah that is spring. I drive 30 minutes from here to see the same stuff but down in the valley it was teeshirt weather with a balmy 57 degrees.

Yeah Fishman I only use the 22 anymore. They also are near whole rather than in pieces. Found a new spot for a different type of ground squirrel up high where they are setting out in the snow. These are a lot bigger than the ones I have been shooting. Also starting to see yellowpbellies out. Had a pack of wolves 2 miles from the house last week while I was in Arizona. Wish I had seen them. You can only see tracks so much before you deserve a sighting. I predict the worst year on cattle and sheep so far since they been back in the rockies. All this snow made them den low and the game will soon be gone.

Saw an awesome fox today yellow/white and black face. To bad it is 4 miles into where it was and the road is closed except for admin use. I really wish I could carry a gun at work. Get off work tomorrow for a half day and the kid will be at grandparents so I should whack a bunch of squirrels.
