I have shot Rem 870's for 30+ years.I am thinking about getting an auto to help reduce recoil.I was going to get a Rem 11-87 but have really been loooking at a SBEII. Are they really that much better than the 11-87?

I have a Remington 870 I have used for turkey form years and I'm happy with it. however, I did purchase a Benelli Super Black Eagle II about two years ago and use it for waterfowl and I absolutley love it. The gun is a shooting machine and easy to clean to. I hunt with a bunch of "die hard" waterfowls and met some new ones this year and most are shooting the SBE II. I think it's worth every penny.

I like the Benelli because the way it feels when I swing it up. I am going to purchase one for turkey hunting. I have a Benelli Nova now and that will be used for waterfowl. I have shot the SBE2 and I loved it. It is a great gun.

If I were to guess I'd say they've outspent the competition in advertising and promotions. They are the hottest ticket right now in shotgunning...they are sweet shooting guns...and if taken care of excellent pieces of equipment

I got a SBEII for christmas and it is awesome!! The recoil isnt too bad and like everyone else said it feels great when you swing it around to get on that mallard!

I shoot both of them. I carry the 11-87 in my squad car and I shoot everything else but deer with my sbe. The recoil is going to be alot less on the sbe than the 11-87. The wya that the sbe functions is diferent the the 11-87. Thsi is the reason for les felt recoil. This will allow you to stay on target more often and faster on follow up shots.

I have a Benelli SBE that I bought 5 years ago. Absolutely L O V E it.
I also own several 870s, A Mossberg 835 and several Remington autos as well as an old Browning A5. I love the SBE. I only have 1 complaint.....not drilled for the Red Dot sight that these old eyes kinda like.
Lot depends on what you like...and how much Mama says you can spend. lol

I have the SBE, not the SBEII. I love it!!!!!!! Its an awesome gun, and its one of the rare ones in Mossy Oak Obsession!!
