how many of you out there run beagles durin rabbit season.

I use to all the time, but havent run them for a few years now. I am looking to get back in to it but will only be able to have one beagle. I love listen to the dogs work right at day break on a fogging morning. The hell with work I want to go hunting. LOLOL

I used to when I was kid in Michigan I had a Beagle that would run a rabbit in circle 7 to 10 times before he would let it get in the hole I miss the way he would howl.

I have Brittany Spaniels now for Bird hunting not as fun

i want yall to hear that bird dawgs ain't as fun as a good old rabbit beagle. i got two of them now and now and one is a little old male pup and the other i baught at a shelter with her daughter for 120 bucks sold the younger of the two to my buddy. i kept the older one which is the better of the two. she was a national champ for field trial and her daughter was a regional so u can't beat that for just hunt over hounds. heres some pics of them.

i go out about 3 times a year with my friends begal. it is fun when they get on one.

I wish I had beagles again,, but no place to keep them or hunt them anymore. Rabbits are all about gone, or you can't hunt the properties anymore because of all the leasing. I gave up my dog a few years back. I have 1 good place to go and you do need dogs as it is a big hill and all cedars. I usually just walk the road bank after a snow and shoot 2 or 3 and leave.
