Please read this whole post and all instructions before you post your info!
Signup period will be from February 15 - March 3, 2008.
To be eligible to join you must:
- have a 'joined date' of February 14, 2008 or earlier
- have at least 20 posts under your belt before you sign up
Members that have fewer than 100 posts (regardless of joined date) are required to check in with their team within 1 week of us posting the team threads. Otherwise you may be replaced by a 'standby' member (see below).
Every year we have a handful of members that don't make the signup deadline for one reason or another or don't meet the eligibility requirements. This year the mods will not maintain or sanction any 'unofficial contest teams'. Instead, starting as soon as this signup thread is closed we will keep a standby list of everyone with 20+ posts that wants to join. If you have fewer than 20 posts, please don't put your name on the standby list until you do. When a member with fewer than 100 posts doesn't check in with their team on time we will replace them with the first member on the standby list. If you know you won't be around that week to check in, please let a mod know and we'll check you in.
When signup is over (March 3rd) I'll close this thread and start a standby list. Members that want to be on the standby list must post their info there so we can keep track of you.
By posting your info in this thread you are saying you have read and understand all of the above. If you are not eligible, do not post anything here - please wait for the standby list to be posted.
To make it easier and faster to pick teams, I need the following information...
-Screen Name
-Current age
-HOME state abbreviation or state in which you will do most of your hunting (please list only 1)
-number of posts you've made (this information is in your profile and next to any of your posts)
-joined date (same place)

One more thing - Team 14 - King Of Beards are the reigning champs of the 2007 Turkey Contest! You will be Team 1, but you all have to sign up again this year to defend your title!
