got a ton of squirrels by my house i would shoot them but idk if they taste good. Also do squirrels compete with anyother species for food or not. Do they taste like rabbit, because i like the taste of rabbit, is squirrels white or dark meat.. thanks alot.

I have always thought squirrel tasted better than rabbit although most I have told this disagree. It is a little darker than rabbit meat, and the flavor is a little richer. I would compare the difference in richness of flavor to the difference between store bought chicken and free ranging chicken...there is just more flavor. On some individual squirrels, mainly the older ones, the meat can become dry when cooking if you are not paying attention. Nevertheless, great tablefare...enjoy.

i love squirrel meat. i taste great just it is very tough and chewy if you like that kind of meat. their also isnt much fat on them at all. you can cook them by just merinating them for a couple hours or a day or to then fry them. thats how i get it done!
