T.R.U. Ball Short N Sweet SS and Jim Fletcher .44 Caliper. Mostly the Short N Sweet with the .44 Caliper as a backup.

If it were me I'd get the T.R.U. Ball Short n Sweet. It is a hook style release not a caliper. So easy a caveman could use it, yet rock solid and light trigger (which can actually be adjusted lower, or higher). Instead of a roller system like most calipers use it uses a sear like the trigger of a gun. It also has a buckle strap, which I like more than velcro. If you can try one at a pro shop before you decide on the other two it would sell you on it. I thought the .44 Caliper by Jim Fletcher was awesome, but the Short n Sweet is just plain better in my opinion. There is no creep in the trigger at all like a caliper, and a very crisp break, and you just hook it on your release loop and shoot. No more fumbling to get the caliper jaws on each side of the loop and closing them while dealing with everything else that is going through your mind at the moment of truth. My $.02. Try it if you can, or just plain take my word for it and buy it. You won't be dissapointed.

I have the Fletcher/PRIMOS .44 caliper right now but I wont be shooting it next year...It's an ok release but it's not what I really like for 3-D or hunting. To me the trigger has to much slop in it and it's not crisp enough. I'll probably go back to shooting a TruBall Short N' Sweet or one of the SCOTT releases again. I'm picky about the trigger on a release and I havent been able to get the .44 Caliper the way I want it. I like little to no travel on a trigger and one with a very crisp release...Plus I prefer an open hook style too, makes it alot easier to hook it onto a D-loop.

The Primos .44 Caliper Release from Fletcher is an awesome release for the money. Fletcher is a household name with releases. You won't be disappointed.
