A small group of us are planning on taking a hunt in SD next fall to chase some pheasants. We no longer have dogs.....so we will be looking for a reputable outfitter that has professionally trained dogs. I have found a few "prospects" online......but was curious if anyone else had any other ideas.

I live in Mitchell and have been to quite a few pheasant farms and ranches. My top three would be Rock Creek Ranch- Mitchell, Kieffers- Whitelake, and Nelson's- in Letcher if you need info on them I can get you some

here is Nelson's website. The guy that runs it, is Ted he is a great guy and the ground he's got will definetly get you birds. He also has dogs and guides.

THis is Kieffers website, he has good dogs and guides. Haven't been there in a year or two but I definetly enjoyed it.

This is Rock Creek Ranch. I bowhunt on this guys land, but he's got great pheasant hunting. I know he has dogs and guides. THe lodge I would kill for, it's a real nice place. It's only about two miles from my house

My top one would be Nelson's, I've gone hunting there with a buddy a bunch of times, he is Teds nephew.

PS if you pick one for sure, tell me somehow. I'll see if you can sneek my name in and get some good graces with the boss's biggrin.gif
