I have hung my lock- on stand, and need a little advice since this is my first time using one. I feel really comfortable when sitting down on the seat, but when I stand to draw my bow, I get a feeling of uneasiness like I am gonna lose my balance. I have all of the safety gear and I wear it. Is this a phobia that will dissappear the more I use it ? Is there any of you guys who have any tips ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!!!!

I don't know unsure.gif But I still have the same feeling when I stand up. I've found that when I put the stand in a group of trees instead of on a single lone tree it doesn't bother me as much, plus it helps hide you. Also If you can make sure the platform is level or leans back towards the tree it isn't as bad. Another thing that helps is don't leave too much slack in your safety harness tether line, if you can feel it when you stand, it's almost like you've got someone holding on to you. Biggest thing is just using it and getting comfortable with it.

You will get used to it eventually. Ive been used to it because my father owns a tree cutting business and he taught me to climb when i was 10. So you get used to heights after climbing like that. When i stand up at no matter what height it dont seem to bother me. Just neeed to get used to it

like the others said...it does take a bit of getting use to! Wait until a windy day...that's a whole nother story! Good luck...and make sure that harness is nice and tight...barely able to draw your bow is a good way to go...I don't like slack...might as well be wearing a noose!
