I heard that some wierd disease is killing a majority of the SD pheasant population. While I hope this is just an awful rumor, I am interested in learning if anyone else is hearing this?
Thanks,
Dave

Definitely a rumor. They announced on the news that there are an estimated 100,000 more pheasants in SD this year. Which will make for a great Hunting season this year if you know where to find them.

Was up there last week deer hunting near Winner. Locals said because of all the stocking there is a sickness that can pass to the wild birds.

If they are dying its from overpopulation. I hunted 3 days up there last year, above Mitchell, lots of birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
