Wisconsin starts Saturday. Hoping to get out in the evening. Deer also opens the same day this year. It's a nice problem to have. Should I sit in a deer stand or go chase turkeys. I LOVE the FALL!!

Our opened on the 1st of Oct. I got out Sunday and shot a FAT hen, my 2 buddies both got older Jakes. The one had about 5/8" spurs on him. Believe it or not he shot it at 62yrds with a 2 3/4 shell. Dropped it in it's tracks. Unfortunately for him he lost sight of the BIGGER Tom with a huge paintbrush. He was stoked since he's been doing Turkey hunts for 3yrs and not a single bird till yesterday.
Here he is all smiles!

Just got in from the stand and around 6:30 I was ambushed by a flock of turkeys! Had to have been 35 to 40 birds. Got to watch em for about 30 min. til they flew up just south of me! Going out this morning, had a small flock buzz my pickup. And coming in had to slow down to let a larger flock get off the road! All of em I have been seeing is on or around my hunting spots. But danit still no deer!
