I went out again after school and got my first dove after almost a whole box of shells. I was useing the 410 and it was pretty windy. That's my main excuse. I had 3 shots left after I got my one dove. I tried to cut the breast meat out but that didn't go over too well. I got about a bite and a half out of it. I havn't cooked it yet, but I plan to just put some seasoning on it that we use on chicken. If that doesn't taste good, I'll go out again with the 12 and shoot some more to better my meat processing skills and try a new recipe. I just walked the plowed fields and flushed them out. I probably walked 2 1/2 to 3 miles back and forth in those fields before I finally got one. It was still a rush everytime one jumped.

I got 2 tonight with the 12 guage. I kind of like haveing the backup shots. although you run through ammo faster. When I tried to get the breast meat of I got a shunk about 2 inches long one inch wide and about a quarter to a half insh thick. Is that about the size or do I need to work on my processing?
