I was curious what date some other states have their squirrel season come in. In Kentucky, it starts August 18, but we also have a short season in June. It is awful warm to be hunting squirrels in June and August, but it beats sitting in the house. August always seemed kind of early to me and I was just wondering how other states stacked up.

We don't have a season on small game. In MT we can hunt them whenever.

We actually have 3 different seasons, instead of Year Round or one long one.

January 1st- February 28th
September 1-29th
October 20th- December 31st

I dont know when ours comes in but i think its like the 7th of october.

Usually first weekend in October in MS. August? I agree its seems to hot in August to squirrel hunt . Do yall's squirrels not have wools that early in the year?

Our season in Oklahoma starts May 15th, right after the first litter leaves the nest. It goes the remainder of the year through Dec. 31.

i'm not sure when our squirrel season starts. i haven't hunted squirrels since i moved to nc.

i checked and it comes in, in nc, on oct. 15.

Just don't move to billings. there's nothing around here to hunt but coyotes and even them you might have to drive a bit. Also I acctually had a Ranchers wife hesitate before letting me on to coyote hunt when I said I was from billings. We must have the bigest population of idiots in the whole state or somethin.

Our's started yesterday and I already have two in the bag using my TC 17Mach2. I kept hearing that it would tear squirrels apart but I got two complete pass throughs with very little damage. I'm going out again this morning for more fun and game.
