I have a vanguard in 30-06. It is synthetic with a bushnell trophy 4x12 on it. It is a very accurate gun but I am getting ready to purchase and encore and am thinking about selling it to get a rifle barrel for the encore. How much money do you think this gun is worth or if you know where I could go to find out that would help alot too. The gun was purchased in 2001.

I have an 06 weatherby vanguard 7 mag and paid around 450 for the gun also 50mm nikon buckmaster scope and i love the combo. Depends on what its worth to you? Ever tried putting it on ebay? You might get more for it or just put it in the buers guide or something.

I would be suprised if you get more than $500 for the gun and scope together. If I made a guess for a used weapon as you described in mint condition I would say between 350 and 450, but thats my opinion. Also I dont think you can sell guns on ebay, try gunbroker.com to find similare items.

Would it be worth selling that gun and getting a rifle barrel for an encore or keep it and buy an omega?

If you shoot the gun well I wouldn't sell it. It is a good gun.

If you are bored with it and want to experiment then sell it.

If you sell it and your new set up won't shoot as well you will know you made the wrong choice.

Great advice! Personally I wouldn't sell it, but that's just me. I love guns and I want to keep every one I can afford to. I've never had a gun that wasn't worth keeping...yet...

I wouldnt sell it either. The more guns the better but they are around the 400-500 dollar range

The price depends on if the gun is stainless or not. These guns arent very expensive either so if i were you go to a gun shop...see how much theyed give you for it and if its worth it sell it if not..keep it, sounds like a nice gun.

I think I will hold onto it and get an omega. I am kind of bored with it but it is a tackdriver. The deer I shot with it last year went straight down after I shot him.
