So I'm looking at getting a new pack this year that will allow me to carry enough gear for up to 5 nights in the woods. I have a Badlands 2200 and I really like how comfy they are but I need a bigger pack. I was checking out Eberlestocks website and liked there J104 "just one" pack and there GS05 "gunslinger" pack. But I have heard a lot about the badlands 4500. Please People. Help me out here.

Try Blacks Creek Guide Gear. They are expensive, but have to be one the best made packs I've found and extremely comfortable to wear. Even come with a DVD to show you how all the parts of the packs work. Think the web site has downloads too. I have the Wind Thing Pack that they make for Double Bull archery and Its a great product.

Dwight Schuh pack. We have 3 in our camp. It works fine for 8-10 day hunts, and packs a quarter out real well. I've had mine for 12 years...not so much as a sticth has pulled loose. And it's been rode hard and put up wet.

I've got the Badlands 4500 and it is awesome. I really enjoy being able to use the day pack if I'm going to leave the camp just for the day and a short scout trip. Its also incredibly comefortable.

I have a similar question with one exception, what would be a good daypack to hold everything I would need to bowhunt deer all day (binoculars, food, water, calls, scents, wind checker, rattlers, flashlight, etc.)

Badlands has a smaller pack the 2200 and it is supposed to be awesome. Plenty of storage and the ability to pack out a lot of meat. It also has a feature where you can get to your equipment from the back of the pack by leaving the hip belt on and spinning it around on your waist. From what I have heard the only thing wrong with this pack is its too big and you feel compelled to fill it up for your outing!

You can't go wrong with a Badlands or an Eberlestock. I prefer my Eberlestock J105 over anything else. They have a nice spike duffel that you can drop inside the pack and take out or strap on another one if you need the extra stuff. It has a nice gun scabbard and can carry a lot of meat, hide, and bone at the same time. Check them out. Eberlestock.com

So I went ahead and put in an order for the 2007 Badlands 4500. I really didnt want a rifle scabbard that the eberlestock has. I'm an archery hunter so that would be wasted space. I cant wait till I get the 4500.

I am going to alaska black bear huntin on a spot and stalk. I will have to pack the bear out and I am wondering if the badlands 2200 would fit the bill. Can I stuff it full of meat and gear? I have heard a lot about the badlands packs and I think this is the one for me. Would you be interested in selling your old badlands pack?
